What does “R&D in technological demonstrators and flight styles for the XXI Century” mean?
R&D stands for “Research and Development”. A technological demonstrator is a real device or system that is made to prove the effectiveness of a certain new technology. Flight styles are just ways of flying. Summing up all together, the claim synthetizes the activity carried out by Aerial Creatures & Cognitive Integration: • Conceive, develop and fly aerial vehicles featuring extreme synergy between pilot and machine: we want to achieve a very high degree of synergy, of fusion, of involvment with the device we use for flying, we want to feel and act through it as it is our body. We want most of the pilot’s body motions and sensations to be linked to the machine by using technology in a certain innovative way. Therefore, these devices we need to develop are “technological demonstrators”.
