What does range in maths means?
The terms Domain and Range are usually associated with functions Y= 2x^2+6 is a function The Domain is where the x’s live The Range is the home of the y’s Range defines the upper and lower bounds that y can occupy In the function Y=2x^2+6, No matter what number x is, x^2 will be positive 2x^2 will be positive as well And adding 6 to 2x^2 makes it even more positive The smallest value for Y occurs when x=6 Then Y=2(0)^2+6, Y=6 All other x values yoild numbers greater than 6. The RANGE of Y is thus said to be the set of all Real numbers equal to, or greater than, 6.
