WHat does puff the magic dragon really mean?
So may people have said that the song is about drugs. I guess if you put the words “puff” and “magic” together in the same sentance,people think of drugs. The song is about a boy growing up. When you are little, you have imaginary playmates (like Puff). As you get older, you no longer need your imaginary playments, so they get sad and lonely and slip into their cave. “A dragon lives forever but not so little boys Painted wings and giant rings make way for other toys. One grey night it happened, Jackie Paper came no more And puff that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar.” Kind of a cute song concept.
