What does PROVISIONAL SUSPENSION/EXCLUSION mean?

0

With effect from 2009, the University will not formally Exclude or Suspend students at the end of Semester 1. However, as the University still needs to identify students at risk of failure, two new levels of Academic Standing have been created: Provisional Suspension and Provisional Exclusion. These new standing levels are treated similarly to the standing level of Probation when calculating standing levels for future semesters. You are permitted to continue in your program but you must consult your Academic Advisor to discuss your progress and plans for improving results, and to seek approval for future enrolment. Further unsatisfactory progress will result in Suspension or Exclusion.
