What does Points of Interest offer?
• The Points of Interest dataset contains over 600 different types of feature structured within a three tiered classification system that provides a flexible means of identifying and ordering just the types of activity or services you are interested in. • Each feature is given a national grid coordinate and address details including the name of the feature, street, locality and postcode where available, so that you can find where the feature is located within Great Britain. Each feature is also provided with unique references and a classification based on the activity or service provided. • The dataset is provided in a common ‘text’ file format which is easy to store in spreadsheets, databases and geographical information systems (GIS). • The product is regularly updated with new information and these updates are provided to you under the terms of your license.
