What does plus end of AA battery mean?
The Pip end of an AA cell is the positive end. This tells you which way to insert the batteries in a product. All batteries are polarised because they geneate electricity by means of a chemical reaction between an Anode plate (positive) and Cathode plate (negative). Flashlight bulbs work on either polarity but electronic components work with current in one direction only. Reverse the battery and you can cause a lot of damage.
