What does Planet ReCell do with the cell phones?
Used cell phones that have an economic value are refurbished and reused in markets where there is a demand for low priced cellular phones. Reuse reduces the amount of electronic waste that winds up in our land fills. The proceeds from the resale of these used items enable Planet ReCell to continually expand its recycling efforts and provide less fortunate people a means of obtaining an inexpensive technology. If a cell phone cannot be reused in another market Planet ReCell will absorb the cost of properly recycling it in accordance with state and federal EPA guidelines.
