What Does PHS Mean?
PHS can stand for a number of things. In several English speaking countries it is the acronym for high schools beginning with the letter “P”. PHS can stand for Pallister-Hall syndrome which is a genetic disorder that affects the development of several parts of the body. A common outcome of the Pallister-Hall syndrome is growths of extra digits in the hands or feet or webbed skin between the fingers. These growths are medically harmless. PHS can also stand for Post-Holiday syndrome which refers to a depressed state of mind after a sabbatical. PHS is also short for the Peninsula Humane Society. This is a California based animal welfare organization. Then there is the United States Public Health Service also referred to as the PHS.
