What does “past hour”, “past week” and “past six months” mean?

Each map shows the time it was created. The phrases “past hour”, “past week”, and “past six months” are with respect to that time. Any earthquakes that occurred within one hour of the creation time are in the “past hour” and are colored red. Those that occurred between 1 and 168 hours before the map was created are in the “past week” and are colored blue. Those that occurred between 168 hours and six months (4368 hours) before the map was drawn are in the “past six months” and are colored yellow.
