What does PanLex do about ambiguous expressions?
Each language variety in PanLex either permits or prohibits ambiguity. The person who adds a variety to PanLex makes this decision. If the variety permits ambiguity, you may assign multiple meanings to any expression in the variety. If the variety prohibits ambiguity, you may not. When you ask PanLex to show you translations of an expression, PanLex finds all meanings that have been assigned to the expression and then finds all other expressions (in all varieties) to which any of those meanings have been assigned.
