What does Over The Top Content or OTT mean?
Over the Top Content (OTT) refers to video, audio and other media that is delivered over the internet without any multiple system operator controlling or distributing the content.
The multiple system operator is usually any company that owns many cable TV systems.
Even when the company is aware that the content is being distributed, the OTT is such that the operator has no control or responsibility over the copyrights, redistribution mechanisms and even how internet users get to view the content in question.
