What does over-the-air mean?
OTA means Blackberry devices synchronize with corresponding mailboxes on the Zimbra server wirelessly using your respective cell phone company’s data/internet connection. You don’t have to connect the Blackberry via a cable or blue-tooth to your desktop to sync, you need only have access to your phone company’s BES network, which typically comes automatically with an unlimited data plan. Wherever you have cell phone coverage and a Blackberry, you can receive and send email, and sync changes to your calendar, contacts and tasks. Email is “push” email, and changes synchronize in real time to the Zimbra server, typically in less than a minute.
