what does non semiconductor opto element mean?
The T4B used in the beloved LA2A is a non semiconductor opto element, built from an electroluminescent panel and two photocells. The Vac Rac uses VACTROLS which ARE semiconductor opto elements since they are built around a diode and a photocell, and readily available as electronic parts. I’m not sure about what’s inside the CL1B but, probably they developed their own opto element. Not much info I know, but I hope it helps.
