What does “Natural Speed” mean in the Varispeed Soft Key Menu?

0

This is a great question. With the increasing number of video frame rates defined within the standard and high definition standards, it becomes difficult to display the actual speeds on the 2K Console Varispeed Soft Key Menu. It was decided to define a “Natural Speed” key for each of the video frame rates. This speed would be the most commonly used locked speed for that frame rate. The other speed keys defined are specific telecine frame rates. They may or may not be locked speeds with the exception of “29.97/30” in a 30fps video frame rate standard.
