What does national security mean?

Use to mean protecting the people of the United States of America against terrorist and those that would do us harm or try to change our country by bringing in their laws and way of life. Now it doesn’t seem to mean much at all. Those in charge of making decisions for our country, from the top down, are all too busy trying to be polite, be politically correct, be courteous to those who would do us harm in a heart beat. The ones who would do the USA harm seem get protected first above the citizens. The National Security is too afraid of being called narrow minded, politically incorrect to do much anymore.
