What does my silver bar/coin has brown discolouration or tarnish?
Silver when comes in contact with air naturally reacts with hydrogen sulphide in the air to create a very thin layer of tarnish. This is a natural process. High humidity climates, as prevalent in Australia, will accelerate the tarnishing process depending on your geographic location. Depending on the finishing of the coins / bars this process might be faster or slower.
