What does my eye test results mean?

6/6 is usually considered 100% visual acuity. 6/5 is still better. Usually it is not suggested to give a correction to 6/5 (it can sometimes lead to headache and strain). If your uncorrected visual acuity is 6/5, then all the more you don’t require glasses. I suggest that you get a duochrome eye testing done. This is a method of testing with red and green coloured letters. Ideally you should see the letters in red and green with equal intensity and clarity (with corrected vision). More of red indicates that you require more minus and more of green indictaes that you require less of minus (more of plus). Your eye doctor or optician will help you with the test if you request them.
