Most modern operating systems have TCP/IP already built in, so you will only need to worry about the equipment to bring. If you are bringing a laptop it is important you have an Ethernet card and the dongle that goes with it. Make sure any desk top machines have an Ethernet card installed as well. If you bring a computer from an office that is behind a firewall, it would be a good idea to have your IT person remove from the configuration any custom settings for your company LAN (such as WINS or Proxy configurations).
