What does method mean when it says “compostable”?
Ok. Put on your science cap. Here goes: Compostability is the breakdown of organic materials into usable compost. The key factors for defining compostability are the rate and completion of degradation of the materials, and the quality of the resulting compost. Compostable materials are accepted by municipal compost collection systems, along with food and green waste like lawn trimmings. Method’s compostable products, such as our wipes, can be composted under industrial compost systems. In backyard compost systems, they will take longer to break down. Municipal compost facilities don’t exist everywhere – if they aren’t available in your area, ask why not!
