What does methadone make you feel like?
***DON’T TAKE METHADONE RECREATIONALLY*** *****Methadone is not a good “recreational” drug. It has too many side effects and is deadly in combination with certain other drugs. It also has a long lasting effect, you can’t just keep taking more and more to try to get high, because before you feel it totally, you can easily take a fatal dose……..But when taken as prescribed for opiate addiction, it can be a life saver. That said, for me, methadone made me high at first, but as I adjusted to it, I just had this comfortable feeling of contentment, no high, just a feeling like I was finally normal and felt “happy” likee a normal person would. It corrected a lot of my depressed moods and anxiety. I also take effexor for depression and I have OCD, so maybe my brain is wired differently, but I like the way I function on it.
