Bail forfeiture means that you forfeited your bail money in place of appearing in court … however, with a traffic ticket you probably didn’t post bail of any kind. I believe, in that case, that the court may have issued a warrant for your arrest, but more than likely, they only notified DMV of your failure to take care of this ticket and a “hold” is placed on your CA driver’s license.
