What does MDF/HDF stand for?
Medium Density Fiberboard/High Density Fiberboard Medium density fiberboard, or MDF, is a manufactured wood product similar to particleboard. It’s made out of wood waste fibers glued together with resin, heat, and pressure. MDF/HDF is an entry-level product, it is considered in the industry as a lower priced option. Due to its inherent heavy weight, MDF/HDF has some limitations that should be considered when ordering this product.
