What does Matthew McConaughey say about life as a dad and making pancakes in a recent People interview?
I think I’d learn that the reason that they dug me when we were dating was how excited I would get about details of little situations, like making pancakes in the morning. And I think the other thing would probably be my sense of humor. I’m actually happy to say I’ve been in some of my ex-girlfriends’ weddings. I go, “Well, right on, man. That’s good.” What’s the worst pickup line you have ever used to get a girl? —Elizabeth Bell, New Hope, Ala. It wasn’t a line, it was a move I made. In high school—I’d always driven a truck—I got a brand-new red sports car. I started getting out of my car and leaning against it. So I was trying to let the car do the work for me! I noticed about four months later I’m doing horrible with the women. I was like, “I gotta get rid of this sports car.” As soon as I got my truck back, I was back! McConaughey says Levi remains his “most rewarding production” yet. “I go make films and stuff, but this is the epic that I’m making for the rest of my life,” he says. Most mornings Alves wakes up first, then McConaughey arises and makes a breakfast shake: “We feed him some shake, get some music going.
