It does, as others have said, mean Fat Tuesday, but is known in English as Shrove Tuesday, or Pancake Day, which was the Tuesday before Lent on which you used up all your eggs, flour and fat to make flat bread or pancakes before fasting. – which is also why it’s called Fat Tuesday.
