What does marching band do at a football game?
The main purpose of the McClintock High School Marching Band is as an extension of the spirit program. Supporting the Athletic Department, the marching band exists to enhance the atmosphere of the games and pep rallies. Students are to remain in their assigned area of the stands. No outside person (i.e. non-band member) is to cross through or talk with the band members during games. This is to allow students to focus on the game. The exception is the parents assisting the band with water and other needs. Remember, your performance begins the moment you put the uniform on and you are expected to act appropriately. Students and staff will stand and support visiting &/or home bands. Understanding the effort, time, and energy needed to perform allows you to appreciate the other bands performance. There is always an opportunity to learn from others. No talking is permitted.
