The game is played very often in the African and Middle East countries like Egypt and Syria. The game seems to have been originated in the 6th and the 7th century. The game has been existent in all cultures of the world. It has also been seen in India and European countries. The game can be compared to chess. The game is usually played by two people. The object of the game is to capture more seeds than your opponent in order to win the game. Some of the games that are closely related to mancala are Bantumi, Cups and Bao.
