What does Mabon mean?
Mabon is a term from Celtic mythology which refers to a fall harvest festival. Mabon falls on the Autumnal Equinox (Usually between September 21 and 23). The patron god of the festival is the god Mabon whose name means “the good son”. He is the son of the Mother Goddess Modron. While the symbolism of triple goddesses is often discussed, that of triple gods is seen less frequently. Mabon was one (or three :)) such god(s). His youth aspect represents innocence, his middle aspect strength and his elderly aspect sacrifice and the otherworld. Hence Mabon represents the natural cycles of growth which our company hopes to aid through our work. The god Mabon also has ties to sun gods such as Lugh and Horus and other fertility gods like Dionysis.
