What does limited purpose annexation mean?
Limited purpose annexation extends the City’s ordinances and regulations, including building and zoning codes. It assesses no taxes and does not require the City to provide full municipal services. Services such as public safety, road maintenance, and parks are provided by the county. Residents in this type of area may vote in City Council and Charter elections but may not vote on proposals to issue bonds.
