What Does Lewdness Mean?
The word “lewdness” means “obscene, perverted or filthy.” Any kind of exhibitionist power that is immoral or sexually bold to the level of being grossly indecent is called lewdness. A lewd behaviour can cause people to squirm in embarrassment especially in a social setting. The basic premise of lewdness is openness in terms of outrageous sexual behaviour or exposure beyond the realm of decency. Gestures and profanity also comes under the category of lewdness. A behaviour exhibiting debauchery or lasciviousness in terms of conduct, attire, gestures or sexual acts come under the purview of lewd behaviour.
