What does LASIK pricing include?
• The vast majority of LASIK treatment centers offer a fixed price for the LASIK surgery and will provide the price to you in advance of your treatment. The price typically includes: • A free consultation and eye exam to see if you are a good candidate for LASIK. Some centers may charge a fee (commonly $100-$150) that will be applied to the surgery if you decide to have LASIK. • The LASIK surgery procedure. • All follow up office visits and examinations for one year. Patients are expected to return the day after the surgery and one or more times over the next several weeks and months. • The price, most typically, will include LASIK enhancements (also called touch-ups) if necessary to re-treat an eye if the vision is not satisfactory. • For the majority of centers (66%), this free enhancement period lasts for 12 months.
