What does job loss mean?
You may qualify for deferral of up to 24 months if you, or the highest wage earner in your household (protected household member), become unemployed due to layoff or other involuntary termination (excluding termination due to willful or criminal misconduct, resignation, retirement, disability, ended seasonal occupation or a scheduled contract), and: • Have a loss of income for at least 30 consecutive days and have been working a minimum of 30 hours a week (or 15 hours a week for a full time college student) in the previous 90 calendar days. • Qualify for state unemployment and are registered with an employment agency.
