First of all, lets address your question on forgiveness. You are correct in saying that all God requires of us is to repent of our sins, ask for forgiveness, and to turn from those sins (meaning to never do them again). And yes, sometimes He leads us to address it personally. We needn’t fear, if He does that, for only God knows His reasons. But the bottom line is, God judges our heart and He always does what is best for us. Sometimes, when we are led to go to the person and admit what we’ve done and apologize for it, and ask for forgiveness, a lesson is taught to the one that has been wronged. Sometimes it causes that person to see ‘something’ good in us, and seeing that, often that person finds room in their heart to give a second chance. Jesus is all about ‘second-chances’.
