What does it take to implement lean manufacturing principles?
Education, tenacity, teamwork and an enormous desire or imperative to change are just some of the things that are needed. Education is necessary because many of the techniques are counterintuitive e.g. you should aim to be able to make your products in smaller and smaller batches or you should stop some processes even when you have raw material and machine capacity available.
