Chad – I was on the TaylorMade staff when I was working as an assistant pro. There was a member at my course who was actually the local Taylor equipment rep, so that worked out very nicely for me, plus I was more willing to shill the TaylorMade junk we were selling in the shop (these were the days of the supersteel clubs) While I was on their staff I was lucky enough to get custom fit for a set of the X300 FCI’s … they were awesome, and I traded them for a set of Hogan Channelbacks….dumbest move ever! My advice for you is to try and network yourself at your next local demo day event…..talk to the club reps and ask them what it would take for you to get on their staff….if you’re a pro or a top amateur it’s not as hard as you might think….you just have to know the right people!
