What does it take to get into medical school?
A. Over the years, it has become apparent that successful applicants for admission have grade point averages in both cumulative and pre-requisite courses of at least 3.4/3.5 of a possible 4.0. For medical school, average scores of 10 or better in each category of the Medical School Admission Test (MCAT) is considered very competitive. Besides these, experiences outside of the classroom are imperative for admission.
