What does it take to get a connection to the major UNIX® IRC networks?
Licensing a ConferenceRoom server does not give you any rights to connect to any network. Connecting a server to a network usually gives you broad IRCOp powers to control (and potentially disrupt) the network. At the very least, you need to be a regular on the networks to ask. ConferenceRoom is server-server compatible with other ConferenceRooms (of course), Dalnet, and with servers that use the IRC standard (RFC 1459) for server-server networking. Note that currently, Undernet and EFnet use extensions that are not described in RFC 1459, so ConferenceRoom cannot connect to them.
