What does it take to be a renowned Journalist?

Buck O’Fama is obviously a Republican (I would have also added “nutjob,” but some things are just obvious and can go without saying). My flip answer to “what does it take to be a renowned journalist” is “being born long enough before the Internet sucked the life out of journalism as the world once knew it that one became renowned and then retired before the worldwide web part of the Internet ever existed (which would be 1994),” but that’s a bit cynical. And it’s incorrect, actually… though it’s true that things for journalism and journalists are not (and never will again be) the same since the Internet. I know, intellectually, that that is ultimately a good thing, but it doesn’t yet feel like it. What it takes to be a “renowned journalist” is exactly the same today as it was in the past: Hard work, honesty, honor, integrity, accuracy, completeness, neutraility, ability to tell a story and keep the reader/viewer/listener engaged, trustworthiness, lack of bias, ability to be a “muck ra
