If it is a Pheo then there are very specific tests that can be done to confirm this. The creatine urine tests is a good indicator. When high levels of creatine are discovered you are usually sent for an MRI to confirm. Sometimes the tumours are obvious and sometimes they can be small if they are fairly new. If a tumour is discovered they will probably send you for a body scan to see if it has spread anywhere else. I am not a doctor and there may be other reasons for a high creatine reading that I don’t know about. I can only speak of Pheos. Discovering that you have one is both scary and life saving. You don’t live with this tumour forever. It will eventually kill you with its side effects. So be pushy, be demanding and ask for what you want. Pheos often go undetected for years because most doctors are not familiar with them and with their ugly side effects. If you suspect a Pheo ask that you be sent to an Endocrinologist.
