What does it mean when the green VIRUSfighter tray icon has a red “+” mark on it?
The red “+” error sign will be displayed on the tray icon if the scanner engine is not up to date (more than one month old). We recommend that you run Internet update on daily basis. Some minutes after running Internet update, the warning should disappear from the tray icon. The error sign will also appear if a module that is supposed to be started according to the configuration is not started. During the computer’s boot process the icon will always have this red mark until all components are started. If the icon remains with the red sign also after start-up is finished, you should investigate your configuration or try the Repair option in Delnvc5.
