What does it mean when people refer to eating “5-a-day”?
The 5-a-day slogan was recently developed to remind every person to include 5 servings of fruits and/or vegetables in their daily diet. Not only will this contribute to filling you up more nutritiously, but it will help you to feel better as well. Don’t be fooled thinking of vegetables as solely a side dish as they can easily be creatively included in casseroles, pasta dishes, soups, and many more! The American Cancer Association is now recommending 9 fruits and vegetables per day.
