What does it mean when a campus or major is “impacted, selective, or competitive?
If a campus or a major at a campus is listed as either impacted, selective, or competitive, it means that the college or university receives more applications than they can accommodate. To limit the amount of candidates, the campus may require students to have a competitive GPA and/or complete certain pre-requisite courses.
