What does it mean to withdraw from a college class?
Withdrawing from a class means officially dropping a class after the add/drop deadline. You receive a “W” on your transcript and do not receive a refund. Deadlines for a withdraw vary based on the length of the class. Please consult your course syllabus for this deadline or contact the Admissions and Records office. The form is available in the Admissions & Records/registration area. You can also withdraw from a course by logging into your student account. Make sure to print out a copy from your student account showing that you have withdrawn from the class for your records.
