What does it mean to say a dog is “game”?
The gameness of a dog is the characteristic of not quitting or giving up regardless of the situation even if the dogs well being is in jeopardy. A dog may exhibit gameness toward any task it is asked to perform. Gameness does not refer solely to the willingness to fight but rather the desire to finish and succeed at any given task. This may be weight pulling, search and rescue, tracking, spring pole, protection work, or just a simple game of tug of war.
