What does it mean to have a chemical imbalance?

It sounds to me you are under alot of sress which may appear as depression. A chemical imbalance is depression. I tend to believe you’re under alot of stress, but a doctor needs to be telling you that, not me. If he believes you are symptomatic of depression, he should send recommemd you see a psychiatrist. If you are feeling in a frail state and always sad, a psychiatrist meeting will shed some light on the conditions you are exposed too. Get a professional opinion. Your stress or possible depression sound very much alike. Maybe you could figure it out. Did all these feelings begin before you lost your job, maxed out your card, along with other difficulties. If they started before, you are dealing with depression. But that’s my opinion. Take care of yourself and relax.
