What does it mean to be an accredited chest pain center?
The Chest Pain Center Model is an operational process for the care of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients. It begins when a patient activates EMS, continues through patient discharge, and encompasses the entire facility. The Chest Pain Center (CPC) integrates an inter-departmental team working toward one common goal: to effectively and efficiently improve processes to assess, diagnose, and treat ACS.
