What does it mean to be “accredited” by the American Diabetes Association’s (ADA) Education Recognition Program?

0

The ADA Education Recognition Program is one of only two National Accrediting programs for Diabetes Self Management Training. Applicants for recognition must meet the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME). The National Standards for DSME define quality diabetes self-management education and ensure that the education is both current and combines best evidence, gained from scientific methods, along with the diabetic’s day-to-day experience of his/her self-care.
