Typically, students must apply and be admitted to a university before registering for credit courses. Enrollment through the Office of Continuing Education combines the application and registration processes. The first time you submit an enrollment request, you are applying to UIC for admission as a nondegree student for the purpose of only taking courses offered through OCE in addition to registering in a course. As a nondegree continuing education student, you are able to take selected courses without going through the formal university application, admission, and registration processes, provided you meet course eligibility requirements. Please note that admission under this status neither implies nor guarantees admission to a UIC degree program.
