To merge means to come together as one – in other words, what used to be two parishes will become one parish, etc. So, as the CUP Plan calls for merging the four present parishes in Pastoral Region One into one Parish, and the three parishes of Pastoral Region Two into one Parish – what are presently four separate Parishes will become one Parish, and what are presently three Parishes will become one Parish. E.g., it no longer will be “St. Mary Parish” or “Corpus Christi Parish” (or all seven present Parishes as separate entities) standing on their own, but two new larger Parishes (one in each Pastoral Region) providing ministry to their respective neighborhoods. The intention is to come up with a new name for each new Parish, with possible site delineations (e.g., “______ Parish, Corpus site, or Homewood Ave. site”, etc.). A similar thing will occur in regards our present five schools that will be merging into one CUP school, with two sites, next fall (the 2006-2007 school year). They
