What does it mean that the LED Strips are cutable every 3 LEDs?
Our Strip LED’s are basically a continuous set of series circuits of LED’s. Every 3 LED’s are marked with a “Cut line” and have a Positive and Negative solder point on either side of the cut line. Each set of 3 LED’s is it’s own individual circuit with a current limiting resistor in each set. If you have a 12″ strip for instance, it will have 6 LED circuits of 3 LED’s each, or 18 total LED’s. You can use the strip as one piece with only one power input needed to light all 18 LED’s, or you can cut it into sets of 3, 6, 9, 12 or any combination of 3. Then you can solder in a positive and a negative jumper wire from cut strip to cut strip and power them all from one power source. You can run up to 600 LED’s or over 32 feet or continuous LED’s with one power supply.
