You say, “every time you wake up and try to have sex”: does this mean you wake your wife up in the middle of the night or early morning? She may be trying to give you a hint. Is your breath the freshest it can be that time of morning/night? Do you (unknowingly) pass gas while you sleep? I am concerned about the “rare occasion” you mentioned. Are you two still in love? If you really love each other, then you need help with communication. I strongly recommend counseling with a professional. You both get the opportunity to air what’s bothering you without the fight.
